Time is money they say and I couldn’t agree more. I have to drive from Phoenix to Vegas several times a week and let me tell those who have never done this drive it sucks. Long stretches of highway with no real scenery to view. So you put on your favorite CD or jack the IPod in, set the air-conditioned on cool and put your foot down on the hammer and fly.

The 9500i is truly the coolest detector I found. I instantly liked the look and feel of it. I also liked the many features that it comes with. The 9500i comes with GPS intelligence, it allows you to mark known speed traps and red light cameras in your area. It also has and alerts to all types of bands(X, K, KA, KU, and laser) in the area. Another great feature is that it is immune to police radar detectors. The voice alerts keeps you well informed so you are more alert to the road and other drivers.
The 9500 doesn’t have all the false alerts that I was discovering in my research that many of the detectors did. From what I could read and to hear from some friends is that some detectors will go off at automatic doors, etc... It has a true lock feature that permanently eliminates the false alerts. Another nice feature is that it has expert meter tracking capability to display up to eight radar signals simultaneously. I think the best feature is the USB data port that allows you to back up and store marked locations to your computer that can be merged with other data at a later time.
The first week after having my detector professionally installed by a professional (this adds some cost to the detector but he did such a great job and it looks like it came from the dealership) I was doing my regular commute when I encountered highway protrol out doing speed traps my detector alerted me to the up and coming trap in plenty of time to prevent an accident or ticket.
